Integral College opens it's doors for another year of study

## I just wanted to let you know that Integral College are starting another Level 1 - Integral Life Practice course ##

I also wanted to tell you how much I loved being on the course, I've met some great friends, really truly beautiful people that are a pleasure to know, and I've enjoyed moving closer to each and every one of them. And I reckon I've learned more about myself in the last 12-24 months than I did in the previous 6 years.

The facilitators Rex, James (and the whole group in fact) have a great nose for what's really important in individuals and in group dynamics and the wisdom and compassion that can arise in a course like this is truly unlike anything else I've ever attended

**It's also unlike anything else in the UK (or US for that matter!)**

I'm just wanting to share this with you as if anyone asked me what integral events, groups and courses would you recommend I would recommend Integral College over and above anything else out there. And, as 'salon organiser' (whatever happened to those salons?) I feel it is my duty to pass on the good word about these courses... there are at least 30 of you on this list who know this already of course so I'm doing it for you too :)

It's not cheap and it's not always fun... looking at the shadow is hard work!... but if you've got some spare time over the winter and are looking for some challenging personal development work and a community of wonderful, smart, integrally informed people to do it with then please please consider it. It's SOOOO much better than reading about it... get real, get into a group and have your integral eyes open wider than before. there are lots of ways to doing this, of course, but I urge you to consider this if it is the kind of thing that resonates with you and is what you're looking for or needing right now.

I've just finished level two and I'm so eager to start level three... that said I'm equally excited about seeing more friends and fellows coming out the other side of a course and seeing this beautiful Brighton integral community grow and grow and grow.

For more details email integraljames@mac.com

Hope you are all doing well, wherever you are, and whoever you are with.

Till next time

Salon Schedule for 2009

  Issue 1 - January 2009 www.brightonintegral.com

Dear Integral Friend

I'm writing to tell you about some of our plans for the Brighton Integral Salon in 2009 but first... Happy new year!!

Last year was a lot of fun, Big Mind, Robert Masters and Terry Patten being particularly memorable salon events. It was really inspiring meeting so many interesting and beautiful integrally informed people - I felt a real sense of an Integral community building in Brighton. Thanks to all the wonderful people I met in 2008, it was a fantastic year.

Big Mind deserves a special mention as it played a huge part in making 2008 so interesting, I've had loads of positive feedback from people who attended Jon Bonello's workshops and course and I'm really looking forward to seeing Jon back at the Salon in 2009... in fact... Saturday 21 February.

The second year of the Integral College was also a big success with lots of growing, stretching, laughing and crying for all who attended... part 2 starts very soon and I'm very excited to see what's around the corner.

So... what's new?

SALON SCHEDULE FOR 2009

I'm very keen to kick-start the Salons again and, with a little help and support from you, I'm sure it'll be just as juicy and jolly as 2008.

WHERE & WHEN?

The time and venue will remain unchanged, we'll meet on Saturdays, in Kemptown, from 4pm -- if we get more superstar guests from the Integral Institute then I'll book the Integral College venue.

I'd like to propose the following dates:

Saturday 24 January - Social Meetup

Saturday 21 February - BigMind Workshop

Saturday 21 March - TBA

Please please let me know if you're desperate to attend but can't make these dates... they're not set in stone yet and I'd like to get as many of the Salon gang together as possible.

IF YOU'RE INTO THE SALON THING

If you came last year and know a bit about what we do then it'd be really useful if you could provide feedback on the sessions you liked the best and what you'd like to see in 2009. I've created a quick form for this so please, if you have two minutes to spare, take the time to help make some super suggestions for future salon sessions.

The form is here... and really does only take two minutes...

IF YOU'RE NEW TO THE SALON

If you're interested in the Salon and what we're doing, please do just come along and say 'hi' - everyone is welcome - there is also a good deal of information on the Brighton Integral Salon website.

If you've never been to a salon before, or if we've not met in person, I trust you are still interested in attending or at least receiving these emails. If not please let me know and I'll remove you from the mailing list.

So... that's it... a brief review and a look forward to the next few months.

I'm really excited about meeting up again in 2009.

Love hugs and holons!

Information

Brighton Integral exists to provide the people of Brighton with a central resource for meetups, information, education, training, workshops and community. We are a non-profit and non-prophet organisation, it's for everyone interested in everything - all you need is an open mind and an open-heart.

Filling in survey forms makes you healthy, wealthy, wise and SEXY!

Well.. that may not be entirely true (at all) but it WILL help us serve the Integral community better by providing you with the kind of Salon you'd like to see.

Spend two minutes telling us what you want and three of your friends will receive great good fortune this weekend*.

*Also not true but it might start a small kosmic groove of goodwill.

So... enough waffle... here is the form...

Integral in 2009

First an apology

As creator and organiser of the Salon.BrightonIntegral.com site, and much of our activities, I feel I should first apologise for not having been in touch for a while.

2008 has been an interesting year for me with the ending of a long relationship with an individual and an organisation - leaving wasn't easy, but that's another story for another day - and the second half of the year has been very quite while I've been focusing on the rather excellent Integral College Course.

Our last event (back in JUNE!) was such an outstanding success that it kind of left me reeling... wanting more but not knowing how to top the day course with Terry Patten. Then it was August, a busy month for anyone, and then all of a sudden it's December! Not sure how that happened.

The year in review

2008 was a fantastic year with so much happening it's hard to know where to start.

Having Robert Masters come and visit was an amazing experience for everyone concerned even the most skeptical among us found something of real benefit and value from the deep personal work of Robert and Diane.

Jon's Big Mind Session was also a great success and it'll be great to invite him back again in 2009. Jon went on to run a 6 week course in Sept-Oct and I hope to update his site with some more information on courses for 2009 - I little bird tells me that he'll be in Brighton for the foreseeable future. Which is great news I'm sure you'll agree.

Terry Patten's Integral Spirituality Day Course was also a huge success, my favourite event of the year, full of loving joy and deep sharing with some beautiful beautiful people. The feedback for this event was amazing and I'd love to receive more if you'd also like to review the year gone by.

Your reviews?

I'd love to hear what you thought or felt about any of the above. I'm shortly going to create a schedule for 2009 which will be jam packed with some juicy new ideas for getting the Brighton Integral community up and running. I've got a meeting next week to set something up so... more news very soon, I promise.

Drop an email to feedback@salon.brightonintegral.com and let me know what you enjoyed, or disliked, about 2008.
